This past Sunday we baptized six people in the river running through downtown Clinton. Everyone walked the few blocks from the Church to stand on the bridge and participate in the celebration. It was so neat to hear stories about how people who were passing by stopped to ask questions and find out what was going on. Everyone was so receptive of us being there and even the fishermen that we displaced were smiling and celebrating with us. Even greater than that is the people who were making their public declaration that Jesus is their leader and guide and they wanted everyone to know they were following Him the rest of their lives. What a great day!!

How cool is that! What a great day.
I love that the water used for the baptisms was available and close in proximity. How else can you make a public pronouncement of faith except really in public! What a witness to all that were a part of this day...Thanks for sharing!
John 3:23 Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were constantly coming to be baptized.
Praise the Lord, what a great reward here on this earth, with a greater reward to come someday in Heaven.Mom
